Community Participation is a funded support category that you may find in your NDIS plan, under Core Supports. This funding covers the support NDIS participants need to meet goals relating to participating or accessing the community, social or recreational activities. A typical example is funding for a Disability Support Worker to support you to travel to and attend an art exhibition. This funding also covers support for activities that are either center-based or out in the community.

The way we can do this are many and varied depending on what you require to achieve your personal goals. We can support you for a few hours a day or 24hours a day by:

  • Attending personal development courses
  • Participating in a social group
  • Going for outing or holiday
  • Going on a holiday camp
  • Visiting your local library
  • Going for a movie or a concert
  • Going to community events, and/or
  • Joining a sporting club.

We focus on delivering a service that is fashioned around your choices. Our support services are designed to be flexible and adaptive to your changing preferences, needs and abilities.
